About This Business
My maternal grandparents planted an idea in my thoughts over 30 years ago as I picked fresh grown
apples, corn, strawberries, and tomatoes. When I could go to the garden and cut a dozen glads, ride
on the tractor and snag an apple from the tree, and pick and eat sweet 'Concord' grapes in autumn.
The idea was that superior quality garden products came from the family farm (garden) and that no
discount chain or super center store could match the quality!
BlueWater Seedsmen L.L.C. officially started selling seeds in 2004. This business was began in
part because owner Mike Creller enjoys collecting seeds and had collected over 200,000 hybrid and
open-pollinated seeds and he wanted to supply gardening aficionados with premium quality seeds
from heirloom and cutting edge varieties (cultivars). The owner takes great pride in hearing the
success stories of clients who have been impressed with the results of their purchases, so if you
have a story to share please drop me a line.
The hybrid seeds that I sell are collected from planned crosses of superior parent plants. I also collect
open-pollinated seeds from heirloom plants. Seeds are collected at their peak of perfection and stored
in appropriate storage areas. These seeds are then made available for you to purchase. As new hybrid
plants are developed, some older stock plants will be sold to make room for the new, exciting, hybrid
plants. Tried and true heirloom varieties will also be a part of the 'stores' inventory. 'Aunt Ruby's
German Green' tomato and others are just way too good to replace with any modern variety.
I believe you reap what you sow... If you start with poor quality seeds, you'll get poor quality
results, and if you start with excellent quality seeds, you'll get excellent results.
To this end, I utilize my formal (Yes, I have three college degrees) and informal (more than thirty
years of learning in the garden) training to bring you premium quality seeds. I want you to be happy
that you purchased your seeds from Bluewater Seedsmen L.L.C. and I will do my best to make
you one of my repeat customers.
